What We Do
A Shared Passion for Rugby at Penn State
The Penn State Rugby Association aims to unite alumni, players, parents, and fans to support the immediate needs of the Penn State Rugby program. We provide funding to the current Men’s and Women’s Rugby teams so that they have the resources they need to make each season a success. This is how we, the Penn State Rugby community, stay connected to each other and to the program that has impacted our lives in countless meaningful ways.
What We Fund
The Penn State Rugby Association funds coaches’ requests, including equipment, administrative and medical support, recruiting efforts and scholarships, uniforms, and travel costs. Our funding directly enhances the players’ experience and performance while helping to eliminate the pay-to-play model. Specifically, we fund:
Coaching support to retain our current head coaches and support them with additional professional coaches to take the teams to the next level.
Scholarships to recruit talented prospective players and provide financial support for students who would otherwise be unable to attend Penn State.
Career support to develop future leaders and support the student athletes as they prepare for life after Penn State.
Connection and impact to provide our passionate alumni with the opportunity to connect with the rugby community and leave their legacy.
