The Fraser Grigor Distinguished Service Award

About the Award:

This award is the highest honor the Penn State Rugby Association (formerly the Booster Club) can bestow upon a deserving individual who has made truly extraordinary contributions to the success and prestige of Penn State Rugby. It is awarded only when a truly deserving person is nominated and approved in a given year. Each recipient is known as ”Lion Rampant,” drawing from the classic lion heraldry figure on the official crest of Penn State Rugby.

The first person to be honored with this award was Fraser Grigor in 2006. Thereafter, the award has been known ceremonially as the “Fraser Grigor Distinguished Service Award.” This award is intended for those who have made major contributions to rugby at Penn State, including devotion of time and talent and overall marked beneficial influence on the program as well the national rugby community.
